English 110 has taught me many skills that I hope to transfer to other courses and to my life. One skill that has been incredibly beneficial to me is the ability to actively read and annotate. When I read notes for other classes or articles online in the future, I will be able to have a dialogue with the author in the paper. This will help me to further understand what I am reading, and be able to take more away from it. Another thing that I hope to take from this course is the ability to revise my own work. I have learned a lot about the revision process in writing essays, and it is something that I can see myself using a lot in the future. I hope to go on to do research someday, and with this I’ll be writing a lot of papers on what I do. Strong revision skills will help me to get my papers published much easier, because of how well written my papers will be.
